Our building housed Polo Norte Fábrica de Sodas founded by Captain Ángel Rivero Méndez in 1902. Rivero Méndez, a Puerto Rican soldier, writer, journalist and businessman was credited with inventing the Kola Champagne soft drink in this iconic building, that is historically known as one of the first and most important soda factories in the island and one of the best in all the Antilles.
This building is one of the most beautiful landmarks in Old San Juan since the facade has the original tiles imported from the luxury store Casa González in the Gran Vía , Spain.

We are a family-owned neighborhood cocktail bar. Jorge and Elvira's entrepreneurial journey dates back to 1990 and in 2020, together with their sons, they incorporated Rivero & Co. to bring life to Antiguo 26 a vintage craft cocktail bar serving creative Caribbean fare set with-in a Spanish Colonial Soda Factory.
